There was a time when children were never raised alone.
Parents, grandparents, neighbors, mentors, and trusted friends worked together to teach wisdom, build character, and prepare the next generation for life. It wasn't perfect, but there was a shared sense of responsibility. Children belonged to a community that encouraged them, corrected them, and celebrated their growth.
Somewhere along the way, that village began to disappear.
Today's parents are expected to do one of life's most important jobs with less time, less support, and more distractions than ever before. Many deeply desire to raise children with strong values, confidence, and purpose, yet often feel overwhelmed by the demands of modern life and the constant influence competing for their children's attention.
The Village Is Back was born from a simple belief: Families should not have to raise future leaders alone.
After stepping away from a demanding healthcare career, our founder, Janice Palmer, felt called to devote herself fully to intentionally raising her own son and creating the kind of support she wished more families had. What began around one family's kitchen table grew into a vision to equip parents everywhere with practical tools, timeless wisdom, and a community committed to helping children flourish.
Today, The Village Is Back is more than a collection of courses.
It is a growing movement of intentional families choosing to reclaim leadership in the home. Through the Legacy Vault, our future instructor certification program, children's learning experiences, and a supportive parent community, we help families build habits of wisdom, strengthen relationships, develop leadership, and create meaningful legacies that extend beyond one generation — all while making income from home.
Our mission is not to replace parents.
